Who We Are
Building on a lifetime of public service of Late Dr.Marri Channa Reddy, Marri Channa Reddy Foundation was established in 2012. With the profound leadership of our chairman, Marri Adithya Reddy(Grandson of Late Dr.Marri Channa Reddy), the Foundation has worked on a number of initiatives and built partnerships to create transformative change. Achievements range from successful skilling and placement of thousands youth in the solar sector; worked with farmers and agronomists to combat Fall Army Worm and other pest invasions that threaten farmers’ yields, incomes, and food production systems; and catalyzed a new-age transformation of India’s heritage fabric, khadi.
An extraordinary statesman and visionary, Dr. Marri Channa Reddy, dedicated his life’s work to uplift the conditions of the common people and establish good governance during his tenure as Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh twice, Governor of multiple states and as the first Minister of Agriculture in erstwhile Hyderabad State. During his time, he made innumerable contributions towards state and nation building. He was an able administrator, an agricultural reformist, transforming and stimulating almost every aspect of governance. Distinguished with an impeccable political career, he laid the initial bricks for the foundation of Telangana state. Dr. Reddy also played a key role in promoting industrialization.
Following in his footsteps, Marri Channa Reddy Foundation has been taking his vision forward and been working towards a positive societal impact through diverse community engagement initiatives and sustainable livelihood solutions. A no-missed opportunity approach adopted to multiply impact without multiplying complexity or cost.

An alternative approach to development
Marri Channa Reddy Foundation exists on the simple belief that everyone, especially the weaker sections of the society should be supported and empowered. The prime objective has always been to create, support, and provide necessary economic opportunities and engaging tools for farmers, underprivileged youth, women, weaving and craft communities, and the rural folk to improve their quality of life and address some of India’s most pressing developmental challenges.
For over a decade, this mission has energized the Foundation’s efforts to ideate, innovate, create and implement programs and partnerships that actually make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Over the years, the initiatives have continued to evolve while remaining responsive to the ever-changing needs of society.
Marri Channa Reddy Foundation is focused on core commitments: transform the rural and agrarian landscape, empower youth through employable skill programs, achieve women empowerment, scale-up nutrition for all, enable growth and economic opportunity for weavers, and strengthen education systems and accessibility. These objectives are being pursued through strategic partnerships and high-impact, scalable interventions that lead to truly sustainable development and social change. The efforts of the organization have already touched the lives of more than 2,00,000 people.
