M. Shashidhar Reddy is an Agronomist by education and Agriculturalist by profession. Mr. Reddy holds Bachelors of Agriculture degree from Agriculture University, Hyderabad, and an M.S. in Agronomy from U.S.A. Presently he is the Chairman of Sree Anantha Padmanabha Arts, Science & Commerce College, Vikarabad which is providing adequate Educational facilities to rural farming communities. Mr. Reddy has been a water activist and has especially taken up water issues like the optimal utilization of water from Godavari and Krishna rivers. He is also a strong proponent of implementation of Watershed Management for farmers.
Mr. Reddy was the first Environment Minister from combined Andhra Pradesh and as served four time Member of Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh. He is the first Vice Chairman of high-powered National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India, headed by Prime Minister of India. During his long span of career he has started Seed Industry and Poultry industry for benefit of farmers and was a strong supporter of farmers and their cause.
He holds Bachelors degree in Agriculture from Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad and M.S. in Agronomy from Kansas Stare University, U.S.A.
